Freeport, Illinois — The Freeport School District announced that it received a bomb threat at Freeport High School today, January 8, 2018.
While details of the threat aren’t yet released, the school district did say that high school students were moved to Freeport Middle School around 7:45 AM.
The district said local police and school officials completed a thorough sweep of all high school facilities and have deemed the buildings safe for all students to return. The students were returned to the high school by 9:00 AM..
