Freeport, Illinois — If you were heading into downtown Freeport over the past couple days, you may have noticed Galena Avenue from Stephenson Street to Main Street blocked off, as another building in downtown Freeport is being torn down.
The building located at 12 S. Galena Avenue is being demolished as part of a redevelopment agreement between the city of Freeport and a company called SFTC Galena Avenue Holding LLC.
