ILLINOIS — Some people are fed up. They say the current Governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker, has illegally extended his emergency powers and endangered the welfare of the citizens of Illinois.
They are part of a group formed to gather 750,000 signatures to recall the Governor from office. Counties all across the state are seeing people line up to sign their name on the petition.
They say J.B. Pritzker has failed to perform his duties as Illinois’ Governor.
That he endangered the welfare of the citizens of Illinois by releasing 64 convicted murderers, 143 convicted sex offenders, and 3 sexually dangerous persons from the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections.
That the Governor failed to uphold section USC 3331 of the Constitutional oath of office when he said: “I do solemnly swear (affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Illinois.
That J.B. Pritzker violated the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act, found in 20ILCS 3305/7, and in other current court cases against the Governor.
They also claim the Illinois Governor is in violation of the Disorderly Conduct and Child Endangerment Act as found in section 720 ILCS 5/26-1(a) and section 720 ILCS 5/12-5), due to the Governor releasing the 4000+ prisoners without notifying States Attorney offices, local authorities, and/or victims families.
On Monday, May 25 in Freeport, Illinois, (Memorial Day) a petition signing will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm in the parking lot of the former Kmart building located in the Meadows Shopping Mall. The address is 1810-1880 S West Ave. Freeport, Illinois.
The petition signing is open to all Illinois residents. Residents must already be a registered voter, and must supply their address at the time of signing.
Organizers will be on hand to answer questions, provide any needed forms, and will have pens. They also said that the signing time may stretch out longer than Noon, if a lot of people show up.
There is a private Facebook group you can request to join, started by the individual who signed, dated, witnesses, notarized, and sent certified mail an Official Affidavit for Intent to Petition a recall against Governor J.B. Pritzker.
