FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — The annual St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl took place Saturday, March 16, 2019 and this year was the biggest year of the three year event.
Participants included 16 Freeport venues and 390 paid participants. The total funds raised came to $2,779.57. With some additional donations from committee members, Michelle Magee and Brooke Deininger-Wagner, the committee was able to assign $2,800 to three area not for profits.
Due to the recent flooding in Freeport, the committee chose to donate $1,200 to the Salvation Army and $1,200 to Freeport Area Church Cooperative. The remaining $400 will be given to the 2019 4th of July Fireworks fund.
Members of the pub crawl committee include Brooke Deininger-Wagner, Kelly Chesney, Michelle Magee, Danielle Rogers, and Michael Marten.
